Well not always, but sometimes it does.
I haven't written in a while because I'm fearful of people's responses. While it's certainly more fun to record and remember happy times, events, and experiences, it's inauthentic to exclude the normal or, even worse, the difficult days.
I removed a post called Parenting is Hard because it caused quite a panic. But I stand by that statement: Parenting
is the hardest thing I'll do with my life. It's also the most rewarding. To quote a friend, "If it [parenting] isn't hard, you aren't doing it right."

| Hungry kids are fussy kids |

| Shoes are often on the wrong feet |

| Noone likes it when Daddy leaves |

But sleepy sister snuggles are oh so sweet

And time together (happy, sad, messy, or
clean) is what our family is all about |

Anyone who doesn't like your honesty isn't a parent. You're completely right, it's hard if you're doing it right. You don't need to go all dooce and complain and curse about your children's every move, but being honest with others, and yourself, about the fact that parenting is a journey and a struggle is commendable, not condemnable. You're doing a great job.
