Mother's Day

Mother's Day seemed like a great time to reflect
on life as a mother (in photo form naturally).

Not long before Charlotte arrived

Not long after Charlotte arrived, and my world got a lot better

Charlotte's first Easter

My first Mother's Day

One of Charlotte's many trips to the ocean

Snuggling in Savannah. Our travels slowed down, but did not cease

Introducing Charlotte to solid food. Her life got
a lot better from here. Mine got a lot messier.

Apple picking in the fall in New England

Cherishing down time at home together

Celebrating baby's boots

Our first Christmas together. Such a gift.

Making many a mess

Playing in the snow...or requesting to be rescued from it

Suddenly a full year has passed

It's spring again

We couldn't be happier

...to announce...

...the arrival of Baby Davis II November 17, 2011.
Happy Mother's Day to all of the Moms!

Easter

Since Matt's been working in the Chicago area, we spent Easter in Evanston, IL. We attended our old church and caught up with old friends. After the Easter service, there was an Easter egg hunt for all of the kids. Charlotte liked the plastic eggs because they sounded like maracas. She then dropped one, which broke open and she realized there were treasures inside. She quickly shoved 4 jelly beans in her mouth before we could stop her. Matt fished 3 out and Charlotte used her new molars to chomp on a red one (which was soon evident on her white sweater).

After the egg hunt, we went to a friend's place for a delicious lunch and some quality time catching up, while Miss Grace took a nice long nap. Jelly beans are a soporific food, ya know. All in all, a very successful 2nd Easter with Miss Charlotte Grace (Side note: this is Charlotte's first 2nd holiday, which means she's apparently growing up!).
