Baby Boy!
What a fast, fun year we have had! You have gone from a tiny little peanut (in the 10th percentile) to a solid little guy (in the 75th percentile!). At your one year check up, you weighed almost 23 pounds and were 30.5 inches long. You also managed to survive 2 miserable (and unsuccessful) blood draw attempts AND 3 vaccines. Well done Buddy.
You are a happy happy guy. You smile at everyone. While in Puerto Rico, you jumped out of my arms into the arms of our waitress. Which is probably because you know she's in charge of the food. You adore food. All of it. Except bananas. Your favorites include grapes, meatballs, and yogurt. You are still allergic to dairy but haven't had any complaints about soy / coconut / almond milk and yogurts.
You are active. Yesterday, I found you'd climbed on top of your sisters' doll house. You were standing on a 4 square inch sloped roof. Not to compare you guys...but I'm pretty sure your sisters never did that. You crawl and scooch and cruise around. After using furniture to pull yourself up, you are able to let go and stand for a couple seconds independently.
Despite being the 3rd child, you make sure you are heard. Your current favorites are "Hi-ya!" and "Ma-MMAAAA". You have also said "uh-oh," "all-done" and "dada." You sign "more" (for food of course) and occasionally "all done".
You love your sisters and they provide constant entertainment for you. On Christmas, they quickly opened their gifts. You had no interest in yours since you could just swipe theirs as they moved from gift to gift. No problem though, since the girls were happy to open your gifts for you on December 26th.
You sleep a solid 12 hours at night consistently. Nap time has gotten so much better. You nap twice every day. Occasionally the first nap is short but you generally make up for it in the afternoon.
It has been delightful getting to watch you grow and develop and become a little person with a fantabulous personality. Happy first birthday Baby Boy!
