Catching up

So Cailin turns 2 in less than a month.  Which highlights how long it's been since my last post.  A lot has happened but at the end of the day, I'm just too tired to document it.  Here's an update.  Maybe I'll even add pictures if I'm feeling inspired.

-Baby Boy is expected in early January.  We had a gender reveal cake at Matt's parents' house and all were so excited to see the blue filling.  Pregnancy is not magical the 3rd time around.  I wish I loved it.  I don't.  Don't judge me.

-Charlotte started a new preschool which is amazing.  She restarted dance class which she loves.  She wants to "be a dance teacher and a mom" when she grows up.  Tomorrow is her last day at both of these fabulous places.

-Cailin loves going to Stroller Strides and seeing her toddler buddies.  She smiles all the time and talks as much as Charlotte at this age..possibly more.  With the exception of church, she still hates being dropped off anywhere.

-Matt took a new job in northern Virginia and we are moving to Arlington next week.  He'll be a Director of Strategy at Capital One in McLean and we'll be living in Lyon Park.  Assuming all goes well at Closing, our new house will have "rug stairs" and a front porch swing.  And it's less than a block from the playground.

-The girls need to share a room in the new house.  We tried to merge them a month ago.  Week one went smoothly.  Then it fell apart.  They are back in separate rooms and I'm dreading the transition next week.  But it must be done.

-Everything for the move fell into place so quickly and easily, it was clearly where we're supposed to go.  But all of this week's goodbyes have not been easy or enjoyable.  We will miss our friends here and next summer, we will surely miss the bay.

So that took about 15 minutes.  I really have no excuse for the 5 month gap, huh.
