In Manhattan, we purchased a tree at the corner bodega and Matt carried it home on his shoulders. In Chicago, we squeezed a small fake tree into our teeny tiney apartment (read: dorm). In Boston, we ordered a tree online and a week later it was delivered and set up in our living room. We now live in suburbia, where there is a tree stand at every intersection. We even have a car (Some may be shocked to learn, we actually own two cars now. But I digress...) with which to haul a tree. We went full country this year and drove almost an hour to a tree farm that allows customers to cut down their own tree. The girls hated the drive but loved the tree field. Some nice country folk tied the tree to our car and we headed home.

That looks like so much fun! I never knew there were any cut your own tree places in Virginia.
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to convince my husband of the joys of a real tree! I loved it growing up, but wow! - 700 lights?! So shiny and beautiful!
